Build 1) The Arc Lash Sorcerer Endgame Build dishes out incredibly high damage and it does that by spamming a skill that you unlock at level 2 - Arc Lash. Being a melee build it might not be the easiest build for conquering high tier Nightmare Dungeons but with smart usage of Frost Nova and Flame Shield your survivability is effectively infinite. The build deals damage by attacking very fast with Arc Lash, producing lots of Unstable Currents and Ball Lightning Enchantment procs. Since a large portion of your damage comes from Lucky Hit procs, it naturally grows higher the more enemies you fight. But even against Bosses the damage is better, provided they don't constantly run out of Ball Lightnings.With all 4 Defensive Skills on our bar and extra Cooldown Reduction from Glinting Arc Lash, this build is about as tanky as a Sorcerer can get. Still, surviving in melee range in high tier Nightmare Dungeons is not easy and you will need to use your abilities very carefully.
Build 2) The Ice Shards Sorcerer Endgame Build is an Ice-based machine gun shooting out Ice Shards at around 1000 Rounds Per Minute. With its great single target DPS and relatively long range, this build can go pretty far in Nightmare Dungeons. The AoE damage can be a bit lacking but we have Shatter together with pull from Inferno or Raiment of the Infinite to take care of that.This build can technically be played at range, but all the really good stuff Sorcerers have (Frost Nova and Raiment of the Infinite) happens in melee so every build has to be melee to a degree. During the Boss fights, however, both of these things don't work, so you are free to run all the way to Narnia and shoot the Boss from there.The Ice Shards Sorcerer is not very dependent on any specific Legendary Aspects. The Codex of Power versions of Prodigy’s and Piercing Cold are more than enough to make the build work. However, a lot of build's power is locked behind Frost Nova. The build can feel somewhat sluggish until you get enough Cooldown Reduction and ranks in Frost Nova to make it spammable.
Build 3) The Chain Lightning Sorcerer is one of the best leveling builds for any class. Combine the amazing AoE from Chain Lightning with the high damage basic skill Arc Lash to destroy our enemies. Frost Nova, Ice Armor and Teleport as our main defensive skills. Teleport gets us out of harms way, Frost Nova freezes enemies and applies Vulnerable from Mystical Frost Nova, and Ice Armor gives us a nice barrier and mana regeneration from Enhanced Ice Armor. These tools should keep you alive as you torment the enemies around you with Lightning! One problem this build faces is Unstable Currents, or to be more specific, its 70 second cooldown. There is no great way to solve this problem with our leveling set up, so only pop Unstable Currents on big Elite packs and Bosses.
Build 4) The Firewall Sorcerer Endgame Build lets you set the world aflame and watch everything burn. It has very good AoE coverage but struggles against Bosses. It's definitely not the fastest build to clear Nightmare Dungeons. This build is essentially melee because if you don't stay next to the monsters they will immediately run out of your Firewalls. Your usual gameplay loop consists of building a Giant Pyre and then running in circles around it, while chanting ritual spells. The Firewall Sorcerer is a very reliable and robust build that doesn't require anything to work. You don't really need any non-Codex Aspects nor any specific stats on your gear to burn everything. This makes Firewall Sorcerer the best for leveling and early endgame, but it also means that it doesn't scale as well as other builds.
